The shame of his father not to species and diet before you buy this poor animal will probably die from inadequate care ... maybe you should ask him to the place of purchase and request a care sheet, or return at least the names of species and the basic needs of food.
Not very responsible for him, really, and now it's your child about what had been discovered earlier?
